Dota has three groups that fall in line with the other confirmed Source 2 group sets (Source2, src2sdk, left4dead3). These are the only sets of groups that have Assertions, Contentassertions and Minidumps groups.
Metamod:Source 1.4.2 and lower used an older method for loading itself. The advantage of this method was that Metamod:Source could be loaded before the actual game mod, which gave it a small amount of extra functionality. This functionality was never used by plugin developers, and Steam updates kept overwriting gameinfo.txt files, so we switched to a different loading mechanism.
However this loading mechanism may still be desirable if you run into backwards compatibility issues, or you have a plugin which takes advantage of the early-loading mechanism. If this is your case, here are the gameinfo.txt directions below:
Choose which game your server is running. If it's not listed below then skip this field.Game: --- Age of Chivalry Alien Swarm Blade Symphony Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Counter-Strike: Source Dark Messiah Day of Defeat: Source Dystopia Empires Mod Fistful of Frags Fortress Forever Half-Life 2: Deathmatch Hidden: Source Insurgency Left 4 Dead Left 4 Dead 2 Nuclear Dawn Pirates, Vikings, and Knights SourceForts Synergy Team Fortress 2 The Ship Zombie Master If your game wasn't listed above, type the game folder here. Otherwise ignore this field. The game folder is the folder containing the gameinfo.txt file, or the folder you specify via the -game parameter to SRCDS.Game Folder: You're done! Click the button below to download your metamod.vdf file. Once you have it, save it to your addons folder.
As I've previously discussed here, drugs are criminally ignored in the lore section. Lore:Skooma is one of the only uncategorized lore pages left, and this orphan needs a home. Also, Legoless already has a sandbox listing various alcoholic beverages which, with a little spit and polish, would make for a lore-worthy page, in my opinion. I've been trying to help push the wiki over the 20,000-article mark (before April, when we'll have bigger news items), so now seems as good a time as any to tackle this.
Could the TESMods be removed from being used on the Random Page search? It's not that I don't appreciate the hard work the contributers make towards those projects, I just like to click around on the random page to learn new things about the games/lore when I'm bored. Also, some of those projects are no longer active or their pages haven't been updated in years. I would like the unofficial patch projects left though as it's useful to install those for anybody. The things like the Mainland Morrowind project, Stirk, DFremake, and any of the various file type explanations would be what I am talking about. --66.211.250.122 16:29, 17 February 2014 (GMT) 2b1af7f3a8
